How matching works
This scanner extracts the top 40 weighted terms from the job description and checks whether each appears in your CV. Weighting:
- Trigrams (three-word phrases) count 3× per occurrence — they capture role-specific phrases like "go to market", "supply chain analytics".
- Bigrams count 2× — e.g. "data warehouse", "stakeholder management".
- Unigrams count 1× and must appear at least twice in the JD to qualify, filtering out noise.
- A common stopword list of ~150 terms is removed first so generic words don't dilute the score.
- Component words of a matched phrase are not double-counted.
